Ombria
Ombria Golf Course, nestled in the tranquil hills north of Loulé in the Algarve, offers a refreshing contrast to Portugal’s coastal layouts. Designed by Jorge Santana da Silva, this par-71 championship course blends seamlessly into the unspoiled countryside, where valleys, streams, and native vegetation create a setting of natural serenity and strategic depth.
Carved through rolling terrain, Ombria features tight fairways framed by cork oak and carob trees, with elevation changes that challenge golfers to think their way around the course. The design rewards precision over power, emphasizing intelligent shot placement and creativity around subtly contoured greens.
Signature holes include the par-5 5th, which winds alongside a stream through a scenic valley, and the par-3 17th, a visually striking hole played across water to a well-protected green. Each hole showcases the site’s natural beauty while maintaining a strong sense of flow and playability.
Ombria delivers a pure, peaceful golf experience—one that combines elegant design, environmental harmony, and the timeless charm of inland Algarve.
